Sunday Meth BBQ

Going for that propane tank refill and notice your exchange Tank looking a little too green/blue around the brass fittings. Then believe it or not but according to numerous articles I have seen from the TSSA to local police departments these tanks may have been used in the production of Crystal Meth.
One method used to make Meth uses anhydrous ammonia which is a chemical fertilizer. Apparently the propane tanks are emptied then taken to farms and supply companies where they are filled up with this chemical. The propane tanks are portable enough to carry and the amount stolen is often unnoticed. The problem is when the tanks are returned back to Canadian Tire or your local gas station. They are refilled and guess what !
Hmmmm burger tastes good, mother in-law a little happier than normal ? On the serious side the chemical discolours and weakens the tank making them quite dangerous. The chemical improperly handled can cause severe instantaneous chemical burns and can be fatal. See a tank like that don't take it. Have one in your backyard call the fire department.
